Bundara West is a proudly Indigenous-owned business providing skilled labour and trades solutions every day across shutdowns, maintenance, access, and mechanical works. We supply reliable, site-ready workers who are trained, qualified, and ready to get stuck in — helping First Nations Australians build lasting careers while supporting your project needs.

As a Supply Nation-registered business, we believe in backing our people with the support, training, and experience they need to grow — not just on the job, but in life. Whether it’s in shutdowns, maintenance, or access and mechanical trades, we’ve got the skills and experience to deliver, and we’re committed to bringing others along on the journey.

Bundara West was founded with a clear purpose – to create meaningful opportunities for First Nations Australians and to deliver real, lasting Bundara West started in 2020, born out of the solid friendship between Stephen Easterbrook – the founder of Breight Group – and proud Yamatji man Troy Cook, who now leads as Managing Director.

After plenty of yarns (and a few cold ones), they realised they shared the same passion – helping First Nations Australians break into the industry and build strong career pathways. That passion laid the foundations for Bundara West, and we’ve been pushing forward ever since.

Breight Group is proud to be the business partner for Bundara West, providing the support and expertise needed to help our business grow and thrive.

Bundara West works hand-in-hand with Breight Group and Breight Training to deliver a proven education-to-employment pathway that helps First Nations Australians land real, meaningful jobs. This isn’t about ticking boxes; it’s about setting people up for success from day one.

With hands-on, targeted training covering both technical skills and safety-critical tasks, participants walk away with nationally recognised qualifications and are ready to hit the ground running.

We’ve already supported over 200 First Nations Australians on this journey, helping them get on site and into solid roles. It’s a win-win: clients get a skilled, diverse workforce, and our mob get genuine career opportunities with ongoing support.

With a focus on building capability, Breight Group invests in developing leaders, creating pathways for youth into the industry, supporting the growth of emerging enterprises, and working closely with local businesses as priority partners.

Their commitment goes beyond operational support — it’s about fostering long-term success and strengthening the communities we work in.

Bundara West proudly partners with the Waalitj Foundation to deliver training and employment pathways that are built for First Nations Australians. But it doesn’t stop at landing the job — the Waalitj Foundation walks alongside our people every step of the way.

Through ongoing mentoring, personal development, and real support on the ground, Waalitj helps make sure our employees are set up not just to start strong, but to grow and succeed for the long haul.Through ongoing mentoring, personal development, and real support on the ground, Waalitj helps make sure our employees are set up not just to start strong, but to grow and succeed for the long haul.
